On Thursday, May 9, 2019, the Food Bank had the pleasure of receiving in its premises the managers of Atacadao, the Label’Vie Group’s hypercash brand, for an important donation of foodstuffs targeting the boarders of the dar Talebates in the rural world.
Since 2002, the Food Bank has been fighting against the school dropout of young girls in rural areas by providing them with food, clothing and equipment donated by the agribusiness sector and private individuals.
This year, Atacadao created the event for the Food Bank and 3300 beneficiaries by offering them almost 4 tons of non-perishable foodstuffs. This food aid was granted to enable dar talebates to meet the food and energy needs of its residents during the month of Ramadan, thus promoting a balanced diet during this holy month.
